Children from all around the country auditioned to compete in CBBC's very own Glee Club contest whilst also helping to raise awareness for Red Nose Day 2011. Presented on BBC One by resident CBBC hosts Sam Nixon and Mark Rhodes, this special all singing, all dancing CBBC series auditioned hundreds of groups of young hopefuls from across the UK.
A group from Wootton Bassett School of Dance (Called XCLUSIVE as we were not allowed to use the school name) won a place amongst the best 18 performance groups who were selected to go forward to a second round of auditions screened on March 14th, with Sisco, Carrie Grant and Dave Grant as the panel of judges.
We are very proud of Xclusive for getting this far in such a high profile nationwide dance audition. They all enjoyed their moment on BBC TV and the fun they had during their stay in London. They sang and danced excellently; and although they weren't one of the three contemporary groups chosen for the next round, all our dancers hope to have the opportunity to take part if the competition is repeated next Red Nose Day.
